You can add Amanda Blank to the short list of female performers that can sing, rap and write amazing pop songs with irresistible charisma. Philly born and bred, she’s part of the loose collective that includes Santigold, Diplo and Spank Rock who’s 2006 single “Bump” broke Amanda out of the box with her effortless lyrical acrobatics. Her debut LP I Love You produced by uber-producers Diplo, Switch and XXXChange balances her razor-sharp wit and vocal dexterity in a pop mash-up of the influences that are Amanda Blank. 80’s electro, hip hop, indie sprinkled with a little bit of brit-pop, she runs the gamut between totally unhinged to sweet and demure. If you listen closely, there’s some important life lessons to be learned on ”Shame On Me”. It’s a killer big 80’s electro groove with an infectious chorus and Amanda’s sly delivery. Check out part 1 of the remixes including Jacknife Lee, Viking and Mad Decent’s Toadally Krossed Out versions. I Love You is out now on Downtown.
Part 2 of the remixes is exclusively available here and now featuring Chew Fu, Yuksek and Timmy Loop. The mp3 zip file now contains all of the remixes.
