The thick of summer is the perfect time for another seductive, mid-tempo, disco twirler from Andy Bell’s Non-Stop solo LP. The single grooves along with a little synth grind and a whole lotta open high hat disco bump. Andy’s delivery in his lower, more relaxed register makes this as much fun sipping cocktails al fresco as on a sweaty dancefloor courtesy of some fun remixes. One of synth-pop’s godfathers and Andy’s Erasure partner, Vince Clarke, offers up a pretty deep ‘n housey mix intertwined with robotic synth lines. Hey Champ turns in a chopped-up, rewound UK garage mix with Chic style guitar licks while Deadboy gives it a percussive dub step wind. Wyda Productions stay pretty close to the original giving it a little umph that does it just fine.
