James Chapman’s next remix installment from his Turning The Mind LP continues his cognitive practice of “Mindfulness” taught by Professor Marsha M. Linehan. It seems if you turn negative thoughts into positive ones while also accepting reality as it is, life works a lot better. I have to try that sometime. Hence the reassuring mantras on his new singles “Love Will Come” and “Die Happy, Die Smiling”. Throw in some of the mind-altering stimuli he croons of on “I Dream Of Crystal” and you have some dreamy disco-psychedelia that would make The Doors and The Orb proud. The Maxi exclusive double remix package of both singles includes remixes by Maxime Dangles, Subscape, Paul Woolford and UK house legend Bomb Da Bass. The Paul Woolford mix is currently being caned by Sasha, Laurent Garnier and Nic Fanciulli.
