Yoko Ono knows all too well the world can be a cold, hard place.  Since the sixties, her life work of speaking up, pointing out, re-imagining and re-creating it through art and music has touched every corner of our culture.  On “Give Me Something” she demands something more and gets in the form of hot new remixes by Morel, Ralphi Rosario, Alex Traxx and Roberto Rodriguez.  On the LP Open Your Box, Yoko’s alter-electronic ego Ono has been pumping out her revamped classics for a new digital generation with remixes by top-of-their-game and cutting edge producers that have spawned 4 successive #1 dance singles “No No No”, “I’m Not Getting Enough”, “Give Peace A Chance” and her seminal “Walking On Thin Ice”. “Give Me Something” is originally from the  John and Yoko Double Fantasy LP that was released 3 weeks before John’s death and went on to win a Grammy for Best Album in 1981.  Listen to all the mixes right here.
