American band / UK darlings the Scissor Sisters are back with their third LP Night Work that the band describes as full of heart, killer dance moves and gigantic tunes. Bring it on! If this initial taste is any indication, we’re all in for some serious fun. The six minute album closer is a slinky, slo-mo, electro groove sprinkled with early 80′s club references from Pet Shop to Peach Boys. The album version is nearly perfect but collaborator Stuart Price takes it a step further with his dubbier extended mix and Germany’s Siriusmo gives it an “around the world” treatment with a bouncing big beat and daft touches. Never toning it down or popping-it up, this smart, cheeky, artsy, out and controversial band keep it filthy gorgeous.
