From the sounds of their sophomore LP Controlling Your Allegiance out in June on Astralwerks, The Japanese Popstars are about to enter the pantheon of electronic heroes. Collaborations with Robert Smith of The Cure, Jon Spencer of Blues Explosion fame, Mercury Prize nominated Irish Singer Lisa Hannigan and Chicago house legend Green Velvet, promise to be an action packed leap forward for the band who are not Japanese, but definitely soon-to-be popstars. Green Velvet voices the debut single “Let Go”, a storming, twisted barrage of menacing electro, peppered with happy house, carnival twinklings as GV doles out more cautionary club advice – he sees bad little kids doing bad little things everywhere, and let’s them have it. An impressive collection of Luke Walker, Aspirin’s Kitchen Sink, Joe And Will Ask, Mixhell and Green Velvet remixes kick the proceedings off nicely.

Green Velvet mix turns this into a serious underground track but I also like the Joe and Will Ask remix too. Don't pass up the Aspirins Kitchen Sink Remix, very oldschool Rave if that's your thing! What the hell, Mixhell remix works as well... I Like them all...
