M83 leader, French musician Anthony Gonzalez, named his electronic/dream pop band after the spiral galaxy Messier 83 and has been producing shoegazing, otherworldy, electro-pop with a band of rotating collaborators since it’s 2001 self titled debut. He describes “the band’s” sixth LP Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming, a double LP produced with Nine Inch Nails bassist Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Beck, NIN, Goldfrapp), as very, very, very epic. It was created over a 3 year period of songwriting and touring stints with Kings Of Leon, The Killers and Depeche Mode. The very, very, very epic first single is a swirling, heady, synth trip with Gonzalez’s heavily treated vocals woven in as an instrument. Downtempo funk mixes by Trentemoller, Man Without Country and Team Ghost are mood inducing while Big Black Delta trashes up the tempo and works that crazy sax in.

From one of the year's best albums, a stunning piece of work. The album version is about as close to pop perfection as you'll hear, but for the clubs, the Trentemøller remix works a treat and was an astute a&r choice. Anthony Gonzalez' genius is in full flower.

Beautiful track to begin with—but that Trentmøller version is simply stunning. I'll def be playing it on East Village Radio and wherever else I can fit it in!

Rare and refreshing to have an opportunity to support such a warm and brilliant piece if music to the Billboard chart. I love all the mixes but the Trentemoller remix is very much in the vein of a mid/late 80's Peter Gabriel, Xymox, The Blue Nile vibe. Gorgeous. And the others, as good as they are could use extended edits. Quality musical nutrition to present on a platter so we can leave the cheese in the fridge. Bravo
