The bio for Miami based duo Afrobeta says they formed the group in 2006 as a means of ultimate, artistic, self-expression. Five years in as darlings of the Miami club/party circuit, voted Best Band and Songwriters several times by the Miami Times, they are still following that credo to the tee. The name captures their melting pot of influences from latin, electronic, retro, techno and pop coupled with Cuci Amador and Tony Smurphio’s down-to-earth, party vibe. They look like they love what they’re doing and live shows have spread the Afrobeta fan base worldwide with performances at Glastonbury, Coachella after parties, Burning Man, NYC Fashion Week, Ultra Brazil and of course several spots at Miami’s Ultra Fest. The first single from their upcoming Under The Streets LP coming in August, is a ballsy, electro house slammer tweaked with Larry Tee, Alexander Technique & Junior Sanchez and Sounduo remixes out now on itunes, beatport and Amazon.
